Why Boomers Should Quietly Quit (Know your Worth)

As I promised last week, I mentioned that I'd be providing commentary and advice revolving around the concept of quiet quitting. And this post is the first of many to come shortly to give those hard-working people evidence and ammunition to combat the exploitation that has been taking advantage of their naivete and loyalty to the corporate rat race that has ensnared them in low-paying, dead-end careers with nothing but stress, worry, and debt. The YouTube video above has been posted primarily for older workers who believe that working hard will lead to a certain level of success and happiness. Many of them have lived long enough to realize that the concept was a scam designed to rob them of their youth and vitality.

Fortunately, succeeding generations have realized this early on. However, many Millennials and those of Generation Z are still captivated by the illusion of wealth in a life of ease, if only they made the sacrifice to join the ranks of the corporate zombies that fuel the engines of The Elites that rule the world.  Therefore, I implore you to pay attention to this work of fiction that illustrates what could happen to you if you don't heed the experiences of those who came before you.

As a slacker, I spent my life avoiding hard work because I always knew it was a losing proposition as it was presented to me. My philosophy was pleasure over profit. I've always thought life was too short to spend it laboring on a job site, in a cubicle, or driving a vehicle to make ends meet. And on the rare occasion that I found myself in a situation where a company of any size employed me, I always made it my intention to do the bare minimum.

. Now I know that thinking like this won't go over well with supervisors, managers, and business owners. Still, they should know that when they hire employees to grind themselves to death for compensation that will not support a lifestyle of dignity, then they should be aware that those employees will eventually undermine their businesses and their profits.

If you find value in this YouTube video, please share it with anyone you think will benefit from it. And be advised, I will continue with content like this in the future until those who need these messages we'll see changes in the way business is conducted in America.

By the way, I'm going to post this on LinkedIn even though I know it's a possibility. They'll delete it for obvious reasons, but before they do, I'm sure a few people will see it and pass on the seeds of these ideas to others. In closing, it’s nice to be a disrupter since I've retired. Especially when disrupting the status quo is being done for the public’s good. Hell, if not us, who else will?
