Why Boomers Should Quietly Quit (Know your Worth)

As I promised last week, I mentioned that I'd be providing commentary and advice revolving around the concept of quiet quitting. And this post is the first of many to come shortly to give those hard-working people evidence and ammunition to combat the exploitation that has been taking advantage of their naivete and loyalty to the corporate rat race that has ensnared them in low-paying, dead-end careers with nothing but stress, worry, and debt. The YouTube video above has been posted primarily for older workers who believe that working hard will lead to a certain level of success and happiness. Many of them have lived long enough to realize that the concept was a scam designed to rob them of their youth and vitality.

Fortunately, succeeding generations have realized this early on. However, many Millennials and those of Generation Z are still captivated by the illusion of wealth in a life of ease, if only they made the sacrifice to join the ranks of the corporate zombies that fuel the engines of The Elites that rule the world.  Therefore, I implore you to pay attention to this work of fiction that illustrates what could happen to you if you don't heed the experiences of those who came before you.

As a slacker, I spent my life avoiding hard work because I always knew it was a losing proposition as it was presented to me. My philosophy was pleasure over profit. I've always thought life was too short to spend it laboring on a job site, in a cubicle, or driving a vehicle to make ends meet. And on the rare occasion that I found myself in a situation where a company of any size employed me, I always made it my intention to do the bare minimum.

. Now I know that thinking like this won't go over well with supervisors, managers, and business owners. Still, they should know that when they hire employees to grind themselves to death for compensation that will not support a lifestyle of dignity, then they should be aware that those employees will eventually undermine their businesses and their profits.

If you find value in this YouTube video, please share it with anyone you think will benefit from it. And be advised, I will continue with content like this in the future until those who need these messages we'll see changes in the way business is conducted in America.

By the way, I'm going to post this on LinkedIn even though I know it's a possibility. They'll delete it for obvious reasons, but before they do, I'm sure a few people will see it and pass on the seeds of these ideas to others. In closing, it’s nice to be a disrupter since I've retired. Especially when disrupting the status quo is being done for the public’s good. Hell, if not us, who else will?

Quiet Quitting Drama: A Slacker's Dream is An Employer's Nightmare!

This is profound slacker philosophy. As a serial slacker, I always say be a proud slacker, not a dumb sucker. You go, girl! By the way, I'll also post this on LinkedIn. That'll give potential employers something to worry about. Especially H.R. departments.

In fact, I want to start writing Blog posts, trolling Corporate Human Resources for fun. There must be an audience ripe for this kind of workplace harassment. Let's face it, what self-respecting hardworking employee actually gives a rat's turd about H.R. types anyway?

The Two Ronnies: Insurance Against Becoming Jewish

If you've had the opportunity to read my book, entitled 'The Adventures of Slack Slacker' (Available on Amazon), then you're well aware of the fact that I make it a point to avoid anything related to hard work of any kind on Fridays and will go to any length to ensure I don't. Therefore, this Friday and every Friday for the rest of the summer will be devoted to Fun Fridays. In other words, nothing will be posted that deals with the real world. Take this opportunity to escape the stress and enjoy a three-day weekend. Monday will come soon enough, bringing with it all the stress you can handle.

BTW, usually, I provide a brief description of what these videos are about, but the title speaks for itself. This is hilarious, and if you agree, please share this with a friend.

Ever Vacation in Las Vegas? No? Try it Someday!

They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Well, secrets that anyway. But every once in a while, when the tea is spilled, a cautionary tale or two is revealed, and this little gem from times gone by is just the sort of message to share with the gullible amongst us today.

Some may recall that I had a blog and website featuring classic TV and retro movies from the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. My kids called them the gray shows because they were made in Black and White.  But I always told them, "You don't know what you're missing." It sucks, but the young always learn things the hard way.

Enjoy & Share

BTW, I'm still in Slack mode and having fun, not paying attention to the world's madness. Maybe I'll C-Ya soon. Or maybe not! 😀
It's great to be retired these days.

Slack Slacker Agrees, Trump Not Like Us

The above video provides comic relief courtesy of the Lincoln Project.

The description below is courtesy of Wikipedia.

The Lincoln Project is an American political action committee (PAC) founded in December 2019 by moderate conservatives and former Republican Party members who oppose U.S. President Donald Trump and Trumpism. During the 2020 presidential election, the organization sought to prevent Trump's re-election and to defeat Republican candidates who supported him. In April 2020, they endorsed Democratic nominee Joe Biden. From 2022 to 2024, their efforts shifted to thwarting Trump's re-election bid in the 2024 presidential election, endorsing Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.[3] Following Trump's victory, the Lincoln Project has focused on criticizing the actions of Trump's second presidency.

Hey, it's a good weather day, and summer days like this are perfect for a slacker to enjoy the sun, working on my car in my driveway (a labor of love), and maybe swinging my racket on the court to stay in reasonable shape. Therefore, I won't be writing for the next few days. Just enjoying that beautiful, bright ball in the sky.

By the way, I recommend you catch some rays, too. Skip the pancakes, bacon, and home fries and burn some calories. The More you burn, the better your body will thank you tomorrow.

C-Ya Later.

Oh, Hell, look out below for some more fun!

Youtubers Says America is Turning Into a Third World Country

YouTubers say America is turning into a third-world country.

America is turning into a third-world country! Not my words, these are the sentiments coming from the people. And, faster than you think, because mainstream media outlets ignore the truth concerning John and Jane Public, aka the hard-working poor. This is why many have abandoned legacy media and now rely on independent channels and everyday people sharing their thoughts, observations, stories, and experiences to gain insight into what's really happening around them and why.

YouTubers Say America Is Lying to Us.

When the likes of Rachel Maddow of MSNBC, Anderson Cooper of CNN, and any of the propagandists at Fox News are pulling down annual incomes in the ten-figure range, how can they possibly understand what it's like to stand in line for weekly handouts at the local food pantries? While they may show up on Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve to serve soup to the working needy for the cameras, everybody knows they can't wait to return to their lairs of luxury. No, the State of this Union is rough, and it's getting tougher to endure every day.

Many are working two and three gigs to put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads, with nothing to show for their labor at the end of the month but a pile of overdue bills to pay. Millennials and the Gen-Z generations literally have nothing to look forward to but stress and dreams they know will never be realized. And that, SUCKS!

This so-called “Empire” is collapsing, and only those with their eyes and minds open are looking for an exit strategy. They know they've been lied to daily by those they elected to do the right thing. And it’s no secret, the rich have bought the majority of elected officials, own mass media, and control the narrative of every message we the people consume.

It’s no wonder the ultra elites have secured their lifestyles behind gated communities, chilling on private islands with servants at their beck and call. The high six, seven, and eight-figure earners don’t know what it’s like to live on the bottom, always looking up, constantly treading water, always trying to avoid drowning in a sea of debt.

The “Well-Heeled” don’t want to see John and Jane Public endlessly struggling in their lives because that’s got to be one Hell of a buzz kill. Well, at the very least, a downer. But most importantly, the “Haves” don’t want the “Have Nots” to see them living the Life of caviar and champagne on private jets, while they work side hustles to make ends meet.

If Joe and Jackie Loser ever realized buying Lottery tickets was for fools, and concluded this SHIT was never going to change in their lifetime, “We the People” might seriously start considering an exit strategy. Yeah, what about getting the FUCK out of Dodge? Open-minded Americans with enough sense to squirrel away some off-the-books hustle “moolah” for a few tickets to travel to places where life is more affordable and less stressful, are finding options to America’s Rat Race to heartbreaks and heart attacks.

And by the way, what America’s oligarchy fears the most is people waking up to the idea of exiting “Stage Left.” They know the best and the brightest will leave first. It’s the best and brightest being strangled in the dwindling middle class. It’s the best and brightest that have seen the collapse coming and know it’s only a matter of time before the final curtain falls on this political theater of lies.

What Do Ass Kissers See When They Look in the Mirror?

What Do Ass Kissers See When They Look in the Mirror?

Since my retirement, I have more time on my hands to think deeper and with considerably more insight. That said, I realized how much time I've spent haranguing the Trump Administration and its cohorts for its blatant shortcomings and incompetence. However, it might be interesting to delve deeper into the psychology of those who made a conscious decision to remain loyal to a character like Donald Trump.

Being mocked for being ass kissing, booth-licking sycophants, with no self-respect, how do they look at themselves in the mirror and justify their existence? As I examine the White House staff, Donald Trump's Cabinet, and anyone who would remain in his orbit for longer than a minute, I am curious to know how people perceived themselves and what their friends, families, and colleagues thought of them.

As a prideful person, not to a fault, mind you, but I must admit dignity, integrity, and self-respect are high on the list of qualities I’ve embraced to maintain an image of someone to be a model to follow. So, the more I thought about this topic, the more I wondered if these flunky monkeys and career lackeys lived with themselves knowing they were being lambasted in the media, in their communities, or worse, behind their backs by their spouses, children, and other family members. And what about their neighbors?

Imagine the looks, the snickering, and the smirks that they notice when they’re shopping in a market or sitting at their kids' recital. Do they care? Or do they lack self-awareness to the extent that they’re oblivious to the ridicule? Think about it, if the public is laughing out loud about their boss, don’t they realize they too are considered laughing stocks as well. Do they ever quietly consider resigning, or have they reasoned that they’ve stayed too long and would carry a negative moniker like “toady” to their graves?

Short story time:

This weekend, Trump was booed mercilessly and yelled at during the awarding of the trophy to Chelsea Captain James Reese. After presenting the trophy to Reese, rather than allow the winning team to have their moment, Trump lingered amongst the players to bask in their glory. Even when the FIFA President tried to direct the attention hog off the stage respectfully, Trump seemingly ignored the coaxing and smiled for the photo opportunity. Disgracefully awkward and thoroughly disrespectful, to say the least.

I included this tale merely to give the reader another reason to ponder why anyone would allow themselves to be subjugated to a pompous, self-promoting clown like Donald Trump. Could it be Washington’s Flunky class is trading their dignity for the perks and access to power, the invites to the private parties of the privileged, or the networking opportunities that exist at the top of the food chain in the world of the sycophants?

In my view, these are despicable creatures of the lowest order and not individuals I’d permit in my life experience. But that’s easy for me to say, considering I'm an avowed Slacker and have been so since middle school. And it takes a lot of time, energy, effort, ambition, and commitment to be a hard-working “Toady” for some clout and material gain. No way, no how, for no body. No matter who the Hell they are. But hey, that’s just me!

Exposing America's Charlatan in Chief (Donald J. Trump)

Trump's Business Success Was "Never True" | US Politics | The New Statesman

It is not this writer's intent to revel in the nation's overdue revelations that they've been duped, played, suckered, and used, no more than feeling a twinge of pity for the foolish who followed Donald Trump so faithfully. While I know for a fact that a sucker is born every minute, I also understand that this is a fact Trump counted on to build his following of ready-made stooges.

However, those who smelled a rat from the onset knew better. It was evident early on that Trump was all smoke and no fire, and all flash and no substance. Still, one has to tip one's hat to the aging trickster because his "Art of the Con Job" had one Hell of a run! It wasn't until Americans realized he was all bitch and no bite and could only talk the talk but not walk the walk that they began to mock him openly and aptly nick-named him TACO (Trump Always Chickens Out). So, we may be witnessing the beginning of this pathetic charlatan's last stand on his monument of lies.

Well, enough of the insults, it's time for the receipts:

The following is a partial list of the ventures that comprise Donald Trump’s legacy of losses and abject failures. Remember these? Trump Magazine, Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks, Trump Water, Trump Mortgage, Trump Airlines, Trump Travel, Trump “The Game”, Trump Casinos, Trump University, Trump Foundation. And, Donald J. Trump’s most significant failure in progress is the state of the United States Economy.

Now, it’s this last FAIL in the making that’s stuck in America’s craw. Because inquiring minds want to know how Trump, a so-called “businessman” with such limited business acumen, can be taken seriously, that said, one has to wonder what a dollar, let alone let him have control over the nation’s finances? Donald Trump is a man who's gone belly up and bankrupted so many businesses that it would be laughable were he not barking orders to groveling grifters in the Oval Office.

Not to belabor the point, as mentioned in earlier posts, but these are additional facts that cannot be overlooked. And this comes from the lying horse's mouth. Be warned, the following is rather lengthy, but rambling, bullshitting, and gaslighting generally are.

Fact Sheet: President Donald J. Trump Continues Enforcement of Reciprocal Tariffs and Announces New Tariff Rates – The White House

TRUMP’S IDEA OF KEEPING AMERICA IN THE DRIVER’S SEAT

STRAIGHT OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE

Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order determining that certain tariff rates, which were initially set to expire on July 9, will expire on August 1, 2025. President Trump also sent tariff letters to many countries informing them of their new reciprocal tariff rates, which will take effect on August 1.

  • President Trump took these actions based on information and recommendations from senior officials, including information on the status of trade negotiations.

    • Since President Trump modified the tariff rates roughly 90 days ago, dozens of countries have agreed or offered to lower their tariff rates and eliminate non-tariff barriers to move toward a more balanced trade relationship with the United States.

    • Notwithstanding this significant and historic progress, the U.S. trade deficit remains severe.

    • While the United States is open to additional trade discussions and deals, President Trump is taking action to establish trade relations going forward.

  • President Trump sent letters to many countries explaining that, starting August 1, they will be subject to new reciprocal tariff rates designed to make the terms of our bilateral trade relationships more reciprocal over time and to address the national emergency caused by the massive U.S. goods trade deficit.

    • In some instances, countries will be subject to a revised reciprocal tariff rate that is lower than the rate initially announced on April 2.

    • For others, the reciprocal tariff rate may be higher than the previous rate.

  • The President may send more letters in the coming days and weeks. The countries he sent letters to today include:

    • Japan (25%)

    • Korea (25%)

    • South Africa (30%)

    • Kazakhstan (25%)

    • Laos (40%)

    • Malaysia (25%)

    • Myanmar (40%)

    • Tunisia (25%)

    • Bosnia and Herzegovina (30%)

    • Indonesia (32%)

    • Bangladesh (35%)

    • Serbia (35%)

    • Cambodia (36%)

    • Thailand (36%)

TAKING BACK OUR ECONOMIC SOVEREIGNTY: Today’s Order, combined with letters sent to trading partners, underscores President Trump’s commitment to take back America’s economic sovereignty by addressing many nonreciprocal trade relationships that threaten our economic and national security.

  • President Trump is the best trade negotiator in history. His strategy has focused on addressing systemic imbalances in our tariff rates that have tilted the playing field in favor of our trading partners for decades.

  • Countries that aren’t serious about addressing the tariff and non-tariff trade barriers that impede American exports and harm American workers, farmers, and businesses are facing the consequences.

  • President Trump welcomes the business of our trading partners on American soil: as these countries are aware, there will be no tariff if they decide to build or manufacture products in our country.

    • President Trump has committed that the United States will do everything possible to get approvals quickly, professionally, and routinely to bring back manufacturing jobs for Americans.

  • President Trump is using tariffs as the necessary and powerful tool to put America First after many years of unsustainable trade deficits that threaten our economy and national security.

LIBERATING AMERICA FROM UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES: Since Day One, President Trump challenged the assumption that American workers and businesses must tolerate unfair trade practices that have disadvantaged them for decades and contributed to our historic trade deficit.

  • On April 2, President Trump declared a national emergency in response to the large and persistent U.S. goods trade deficit caused by a lack of reciprocity in our bilateral trade relationships, unfair tariff and non-tariff barriers, and U.S. trading partners’ economic policies that suppress domestic wages and consumption.

  • President Trump continues to advance the interests of the American people by calling on trading partners to remove tariff and non-tariff barriers and expanding market access for American exporters.

  • Today’s announcement, based on reciprocity and fairness, will help usher in a Golden Age for the American People.

Utter madness or Sheer incompetence? You be the judge!

CONCLUSION:

With Trump’s trade tirades promising 90 deals in 90 days while bullying allies to comply or face tariffs "the likes the world has never seen before", and his Big Beautiful Bill, which promises to add trillions to the national debt, decimate the nation's social safety net, and allow the ultra-rich to obliterate the middle class, Donald J. Trump will accomplish what no adversary has ever done to the United States. Drive America into insolvency, isolation, and eventually irrelevance.

If a solution isn’t found sooner rather than later, America’s epitaph will read “The King is dead, Long live China.”

Just Chilling Before Some Serious Sunday Slacking

It's early Sunday morning. I wanted to share something cool before I swing my racket in the sun. When you reach my age, it's wise to remain in perpetual motion. To relax too long can result in a difficult reboot. Words from an old wise guy! Follow my lead and you'll never go wrong.

Enjoy your day, Monday is coming, and that always sucks!

Slack is Hopped Up on Hopalong Cassidy - Illegal Entry (Colorized)

Finally, It's Slack Slacker Friday!

My apologies for having to take this site to the dark side for a while. However, due to circumstances beyond my control, I found myself paying closer attention to what was going on in this country and around the world. As many have noticed and noted, "We the People" are in a lot of trouble. For these dark times, if not addressed, will compromise our futures.

One only needs to look and listen to understand the dire state of our circumstances. And until we, as a people, can collectively comprehend who is on our side and who has been gaslighting us into thinking they can be relied upon to provide competent leadership to bring about the change necessary to give this country and its citizenry the chance for peace and prosperity that "We the People" deserve, we'll continue to spiral downward into a dark abyss of misery.

However, it's Friday, and I'm tired, fed up, and in need of a break. So, I'm doing what I usually do to relax: watching some retro media from days gone by to escape from the madness, the lies, and the brutalities we face. Fortunately, I found this gem from the past on YouTube, which addresses some of the issues currently making headlines today. So, if you're interested in playing hooky from life for a while, check out this 30-minute episode and forget your troubles today. Description below.
